Hello there, and welcome to our ICC chapter meeting! It was great to finally have our first official meeting of the chapter year, and I'm excited for what's to come in the next few months! After welcoming the chapter, I passed the time over to speaker Jonique, who led us in an interesting icebreaker called "Toe to Toe." In this activity, each person would pair up with another person, and would have to ask each other certain questions. First we paired up by touching toes, then we changed partners and paired up by touching elbows, then we changed partners again and went back to back with him/her. Finally, we went toe to toe with our toe partners, while touching elbows with our elbow partners and going back to back with our back to back partners. This activity not only tested our flexibility, but also helped us get to know our fellow chapter members better.

Speaker Jern Ling then shared with us the importance of doing the GOOP - showing respect for God, others, ourselves, and property. Obeying God's Word, treating others well, and cleaning up after ourselves are all part of doing the GOOP. We need to remember that our behaviour off the platform speaks louder than anything we could say on it.

DO THE GOOP!!!!

After that short devotion, Coach Daniel reminded us ahead of the 4:12 conference that our lives should be a testimony to those around us - a sort of "display unit," showing others how ICC has impacted our lives.

The YSG and YCC teaching sessions were led by speakers Ian and Eunice, respectively. In the YSG teaching session, we reviewed the familiar six-step formula to public speaking - P3+R3=C3.

"Meanwhile, in the YCC world, we were having the time of our lives practicing impromptu introduction and the basics of public speaking through fun group-bonding activities! We practiced the 3-second rule, poise, and learned more about each other in the process! I could not have asked for a better group of engaging YCCers! Can't wait for my next round of YCC teaching!" -Eunice

Next, speakers Charis and Jern Yoong briefed us on how to publicize the 4:12 conference on social media.
