Easter: The Birth of Words A.L.I.V.E. (Sun, 20 April)

Finally, the moment that we have all been waiting for... the birth of the first ICC chapter in Malaysia. And with Easter being the day that we met, it is appropriate that we name the chapter as Words A.L.I.V.E.

Why this name? It is a reminder that since "death and life is in the power of the tongue" (Proverbs 18:21), we ought to be careful in speaking words of encouragement and life to each other. As Christ-Followers, it is our responsibility to proclaim His Word of Life with excellence and passion! So, with 9 YSG speakers and 4 BPS speakers, we had our very first chapter meeting yesterday.

The text for our devotion was taken from Ephesians 5:15-21. How we speak to each other is a reflection of our walk with the Lord. So, we ought to be Christ-like in the way we communicate.

"Warming up"

"Alfred coaching the YSG speakers focusing on P3+R3=C3"

"Getting the young ones to warm up to each other"

"Time to speak up"

"Smiles and laughs"

"After working hard, it is time to eat well"

"Fellowship"

"Team debrief"

As we concluded the chapter meeting, it is marvelous to witness how the Lord has brought different ones together - each contributing in their area of strengths and spiritual gifts - "Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brothers to dwell in unity" (Psalms 133:1).

A Light In Virtuous Expression
With the way the culture is heading, we certainly need to band together so that we shine brighter as Christ-Followers.
