Christmas Presentation for the Elderly Folks!

Written by Nathanael Chong
Edited by Charis Chen

Greetings!

On this day, the 30th of December 2015, our chapter visited an old folks' home, called My Father's Home, to present a Christmas mime which depicted a story with special meaning.

We arrived at the home in the morning, setting up our platform, preparing ourselves mentally, and rehearsing. We were glad to see the elderly slowly come in, eager to see what we had in store for them.

We told a story of a family who did not know the love of Christ. As life went on, the family broke apart, marriage failed, and children left home. But when they finally found Christ and experienced His saving grace, they were given new hearts and their family was healed.

We offered this presentation to the Lord for His purposes and glory, and we were glad to see that there were people being touched. For me, that was rewarding enough.

Coach Joseph and Coach Wai Hong came onto the platform after the mime and gave a short message, emphasizing on the healing grace of Christ. We then spread out around the room and prayed for the folks.

We then ended the visit with Christmas carols.

All in all, it was a great experience planning and putting together the presentation, and giving our efforts to God, and to see His work.

Till we meet again!

"It's the most wonderful time of the year...." We bestow to thee a hearty welcome to an amazing time of premium tea, delightful stories, and crazy games at our very own Christmas Tea party! On December 6, 2015, thousands (well, maybe not thousands) of people flooded the KK premises with anxious hearts filled with the irresistible joy of Christmas spirit! Okay, that was a bit melodramatic, but you get the point! We were bound to have fun!

Our exciting event commenced with an energetic welcome by our two emcees, Nathanael and Eliza.

Eliza: I'm Nathanael!
Nathanael: And I'm Eliza!
 Wait.... What?

Following the hilarious opening, Ian and Jern Yoong led in an interesting icebreaker called the "Key Jar" where the people, in a circle, passed around a jar with all sorts of intriguing questions. When Jern Yoong stopped playing the music on his guitar, the person holding the jar at that point of time would have to randomly draw a question and answer it in front of everyone else.

It certainly was a scrumptious Christmas tea! Thank you, moms! Following that, everyone crowded back indoors for a second activity! Ranen and Jern Ling led a game called "Christmas Artist," in which everyone would have to draw things on a paper plate that had to be on their heads the whole time! Everyone was assigned things to draw like a stable, star, and manger.
