We started our 17th ICC Chapter by Nathanael and Jaeriel leading the worship service. We sang two songs: “Hide Me Now” and “Praise God From Whom All Blessings Flow.”

Then we had our ice breaker, led by Eliza. We were told to group together as fast as possible to the assigned topic, like 'the birth place according to which state in Malaysia,' 'shoe size,' 'favorite color,' and 'preference of mobile phone brands i.e. Apple vs Samsung.'

"No, you are in this team."
Ian: "Hey, where am I suppose to be?"

"Yay, our team has the most people!".....

This was the team ....... SAMSUNG!!!........
After the opening prayer led by Coach Joseph, we had our devotion by partnership parent-child Coach Joseph and Speaker Eliza.

Coach Joseph in action..........
Our devotion was about Judging and Legalism. Coach Joseph talked about how he was offended by his church friend who simply 'judged' him and so, he reminded us to learn to look at the person's inner heart and not by their outer behavior or looks.

Speaker Eliza
Speaker Eliza spoke about legalism where judging people by their outward appearance was wrong and how in the Bible, we are warned against judging.

Some more attentive coaches.... :p
After the devotion, Coach Joseph continued with the Interpretation Session, where both the YSGers and BPSers watched a video on the story of 'Charlie the Caterpillar' interpreted in two different manners. One was a story-reading from a storybook, while another was interpreted very creatively and expressively by a young man named Alex Wozencraft, who won the 7th place in a Nationwide Competition. We were so amazed at how this could be done so creatively. Later, the coaches helped the speakers to discuss the selection of topics for the Interpretation Category in YSG1.
So this is Charlie the caterpillar......

Then we had Jaeriel present his platform speech on 'My
Favorite Bible Verse.' He presented it with smoothness and confidence. Good job!

Speaker Jern Ling started the ball rolling by sharing her two-minute Limited Prep's topics -
'What does it mean to be Joyful?' and 'Illustrate Grace'.
