The second ICC Chapter meeting was the day of the first presentations! We were overjoyed to see that many of our speakers were ready to give a speech about themselves, and they all did a good job!
A coach's comments are placed in blue.
Jemima did good with her engaging presentation, the audience thought the props 'cool.'
Eliza's passion for world-shaping ideas shows through in her presentation; inspiring!
Jaeriel's interesting discourse on the meaning of his name, his gestures & good eye contact was encouraging; he demonstrated good speaker habits.
Charis' sweet voiced presentation reflects her personality & gave us some insight into her world & hometown, Taiping.
Eunice's personal sharing on a life lesson displayed maturity beyond her years, although there was no loss of fun or giggles.
Nathaniel's dramatic presentation & demonstration of impersonation was an appropriate finale!
Great job done for the 1st batch of YSG speakers! The platform time was well used.
Our devotion was based on John 3: 29-30. We, as friends of the Bridegroom (Christ), rejoice at His voice. Indeed, the focus on our Lord must increase, and the focus on ourselves must decrease.
The icebreaker - a mini debate on Chocolates vs. Sweets
We learned some presentation skills, such as the 3-second rule, the projection of our voices, and posture.
Coach Alfred was hilarious in his "DO NOTs" when presenting!
The voice projection exercise really relaxed us for our presentations!
"Boom, BOOM, BOOOM"
We also reflected on the statement: "People fear shame, not truth." From this, we learned about helping others feel safe so that the truth we want to communicate is well received.
The BPS session :)
It presents a great example of speaking up and standing for what is right.
We were excited as Coach Dicky gave us an audition for choir singing - definitely also a way of communication!
Receiving feedback and signatures from coaches.
Enjoying our sumptuous dinner!
Later, we did some house chores: washing the dishes and taking out the trash - great ways to practice responsibility and respect for our host.
Finally, a few of us presented a video featuring photos of the first meeting of our ICC Chapter. As the original was copyrighted, we recorded one of the soundtracks ourselves to show respect for sources (one of ICC's core values).
----------Additional snapshots of the momentous day!----------
Celebrating the 7th birthday of Olivia, a precious BPS member!
Additional bundles of joy :)
